Jeff Meyer is currently the CEO of Dakota West Credit Union, one of the largest financial cooperatives in the upper Midwest. In 2013 Jeff founded C U succeed, llc, providing strategic advisory and management consulting services to mid-sized financial institutions. As CEO of 3Rivers Federal Credit Union (Fort Wayne, IN) Jeff was the principal architect and chief instigator in establishing 3Rivers reputation as one of the most progressive and well respected financial institutions in the Midwest. During his two decade tenure the credit union grew over 600% to $740 million in assets by 2012. Of most importance to Jeff was the culture he was able to create among the 70,000 members and 240 employees spread out amongst their 18 branch locations. By consistently questioning and challenging the status quo he was able to develop an environment where individual development was expected, change was embraced and profitable growth was a requirement.
Jeff’s formative years were spent in lending at a community bank in Northern Indiana. In 1991 he joined 3Rivers as Vice President of Lending and by the age of 32 was appointed as Executive Vice President, where he was responsible for all functional areas on a daily basis. In 2003 he lead the institution’s technology revolution and successful conversion to what is now known as Fiserv DNA, which also included a dozen other ancillary “best of breed” systems.
He was elected to the board of directors of Corporate One Federal Credit Union, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana. He has also served in an advisory capacity for Allied Solutions, Invest Financial and the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU).
