Ralph Marra has over 30 years of information systems and technology management experience in the healthcare, financial services and community banking industries. Early in his career, he honed his skills in roles with increasing responsibility at Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, Texaco, Drexel Burnham and Citibank. Since then, in his role as Chief Information Officer, Ralph has made an impact implementing ERP and other software systems, leading successful legacy migrations, guiding datawarehouse design teams, improving cybersecurity and managing vendors in the ‘as a service’ cloud world.
At Suffolk Federal Credit Union, Ralph successfully led the technology team to attain a solid 5/5 rating from an NCUA audit which included risk and compliance factors.
Ralph believes and knows that the only way to stay abreast of the constant changes in technology is through continual education, in depth questioning and actual execution. To this end he keeps his hand on the pulse of IT by constantly attending seminars and being involved with various associations and trade groups.
Mr. Marra holds an MBA in Information Systems from Iona College, and a BA from Fordham University in Finance and Computer Science. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University’s College of Business where he teaches undergraduate and graduate business, technology and leadership courses.
