Ray has been involved in various aspects of financial services, including operations management, audit, regulatory compliance, risk management, and technology management for more than 30 years. He has founded or co-founded four companies, ranging from financial transaction analysis to pasta manufacturing. As a senior manager with Deloitte, he founded the eControls practice that was widely adopted throughout the firm. Ray was with the Federal Reserve two different times for roughly ten years; he led information security, technical support, and change management for the Fed’s restructuring of check and related payments. Recently, Ray was a member of the Fed’s Secure Payments Task Force. He is as comfortable in a Board Room as he is in the weeds of data analytics, regulatory compliance, and information security.
Ray has taught a variety of classes and served as a speaker at conferences, ranging from the University of Kansas, many banks and credit unions, to the Gartner Group. He has BSBA’s in Accounting and Management Information Systems from The University of Missouri and a MBA (focused on Quantitative Management) from Lindenwood University. Ray holds or has held: CISSP, CIA, CQA, CDP, and CFE.
Ray and his wife live on a farm in Louisburg, Kansas. Ray was a USSF licensed soccer referee and actively involved in US youth soccer. In his spare time, Ray spoils his five grandchildren.
